Hot Hoagies
1 loaf french bread, cut lengthwise
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1/2 cup light mayo
1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream
2 green onions, thinly sliced (white and green parts)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped (or 2 tablespoons dried)
2 cups shredded cheese (I used medium cheddar)
Olives, chopped (left these out because I am the only one that likes them)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place french bread on large baking sheet. Mix all topping ingredients together in a bowl. Spread topping evenly on top of both lengths of french bread. Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and edges are lightly browned. Slice into pieces and serve immediately.

That looks really good and easy! I'm always looking for a way to use up some extra roasted chicken, and I think this would do the trick. Thanks!!
That sounds really good. It would be good with tuna too, if you like tuna.
I did it again - went and used the wrong google profile. This is Tiffany from Eat at Home. Sorry for the double comment.
This reminds me a yummy steak sandwich I used to get at Black Angus only with chicken!
Hey, I just added this to my menu this week...again! I'm glad you liked it!
That sounds wonderful! and so easy, I love that
What a great sandwich. I love serving sandwiches during the warmer months, so I'll definitely give this on a try. Thanks so much for posting about it!
Ooo, I saw a similar french bread on Pioneer Woman's site. Your bread looks so good! YUM!
That picture really makes me want to lick the screen.
Hello! Love your Blog - easy recipes and very attractively presented. I tried the Hot Hoagies and I have to say, it really wasn't my favourite. In fact, I had three guys eating with me and we had so much left over. It was "ok" but no one really wanted to have seconds. Sure makes a lot. Looked great, but just tasted ok. Not sure why we didn't care for it - we just didn't. Maybe a little bland? Cat
Thank you SO much for this recipe!!! I made this the other night and we LOVED it!!! I used Parmesan and Mozzarella and it had so much flavor!! Loved this combo but next time I will use garlic powder instead of garlic salt if I use the Parmesan cheese!! Yummy!!! Thanks!
